I truly  and seriously believe that personal security is a Personal matter.  Let’s face it, no one and I mean no one cares about you and your family  as much as you do.  So why leave you and  your family’s well being in the hands of others, especially in the hands of  those who really don’t care.
Do you  truly believe the Government cares about you personally?  How about your local police?  They do to an extent but as most humans or  government organizations go, it is more about building their own fiefdoms or  their political standing than absolutely focusing on the safety of citizens  they are commissioned to serve.  Taking  care of ‘Number One’ is what it is  usually called.
Just  trust me on this.  I have worked for  Government.  I know how they  operate.  I have worked for or with local  law enforcement agencies, I know how they operate as well.  It drives me crazy when I see how cases are  mishandled by many detectives regarding people who really need and seek their  help.   In many cases, if the  investigation gets a little complicated, becomes low on leads and will require  a lot of effort or time, the case is then put off to the side because the  detective is under pressure to produce results. Easy to solve cases move  forward, and more difficult ones often move to oblivion.
The  more cases that are closed, means the better the Detective and his department  looks.  The more cases closed translates  into that department being able to justify their existence and acquire a bigger  budget for the following year. People actually working in the trenches with  victims and their families know this reality, but higher ups rarely solicit  their opinions or ideas about anything, I can assure you of that reality as  well.
This is  not to say that police officers and others who are hired to ‘protect and serve’  are not hard working, caring and dedicated public servants. In fact, many  officers now serving on the front lines for public safety are as frustrated with the systemic problems government  bureaucrats force upon them as I am.   They try to do their best but with an alarming decrease in funds and  personnel the front line police officer is woefully stretched thin.
With  this type of system, more and more people are really not served the way they  should be to actually make a difference in their personal safety or in saving  them from victimization.  I have  absolutely no doubt about it.  Also, when  a crime is committed, it is not usually done when there is a police officer  around.  So help is usually minutes away,  if not much longer.
The  crime is not reported until after the fact…
What  does this mean to you?  Well, it means  that you are probably not going to be calling a cop for help right in the  middle of being mugged or raped.  I mean  most people can’t stop being victimized long enough to call for emergency  services when some criminal is beating them in the head and face.  “Uh hold on a second mister rapist, l need to  make a quick call here, can you stop kicking me in the stomach and face so I  can talk clearly to dispatch…”   In Real  life, it doesn’t happen that way.
It also  means that there is a high probability the criminal who violently assaulted you  may never even be caught.  If he is  caught, there is a high probability justice will  not be served.  In many cases the  District Attorney’s office is forced to Plea bargain with the criminal to save  money.  A couple of month’s time in jail  or prison is agreed upon, a little slap on the wrist as far as the time served  related to the crime committed against you…
And  what good is the justice system to you anyway, if you have already been  injured, your wife has already been raped or if your daughter has already been  beaten raped and killed???  So the guy  goes to jail, great, but you and your family are still irreversibly damaged or  harmed.
This is my point; do  not believe someone else is going to  help you when you are violently attacked.   I pray that no one ever is, but we all know that violence, crime and  victims of crime are an unarguable reality now, and currently merit growing  concern as more and more people face desperation in tough economic times.
You may  get help after the fact and that is wonderful, but the fact remains that you or  your absolutely precious family member has already been harmed or worse.  Don’t let anyone tell you that protecting  yourself from victimization is wrong or bad.   There are people out there that believe this.  Many believe this way who work at high levels  in our government.  Of course they  themselves have dozens of highly trained professional security agents around  them at all times.  Go figure…
Take personal responsibility for yourself and  your family.  You have to learn how to  protect yourselves.  Better yet, also  learn how to recognize potential threats, and then avoid them all  together.  The old adage, “If it is to  be, it is up to me” holds true in this arena.   It’s up to you to protect you and yours, period.
This  section of Freedoms Process is about  reality in the area of Personal Safety for you and your family. Real life isn’t  a television show where the bad guy always gets caught, and the victim ends up  smiling. Real life isn’t about your odds of not being victimized. An uninformed  person is a victim waiting for a predator to take advantage of them. Of the  millions of people victimized each year, most are shocked that it happened to  them. Real Life says, why not you?
Take  the time and effort to invest in learning more about personal security for  yourself and that of your family.  You  are all worth it!

It could save you or a love one from being raped or assaulted.
I have put my whole heart into helping with this movement to stop the crime against women
STAND UP FIGHT BACK show them you are in control of your own personal safety.
Because of what I learned in this course even at 60 years old, I KNOW I can take down an assailant. I have been a victim several times and I now know it was not my fault. I lived with guilt and shame most of my life and have been horribly affected by the assaults. This program was life changing for me. Please give your daughters and granddaughters the gift of knowing they can protect themselves and can avoid many of the potential dangerous situations that they might put themself into because they do not know any better.
Help keep them safe! Don’t let the criminals know more about them then they know about the criminals.
