Until something is sold, nothing happens.

The well being of citizens in any country is profoundly affected by the condition of the business enterprises found within them. “Business” produces all wealth and its health or illness is the single determinate of the economic standard of living the people of any country enjoys.

First a good Idea and then the principles of owning and operating a business prevail. In a free market system, both individual business owners and large corporations adhere to many principles of successful enterprise or self-evident ‘truths’, or face failure from the starting gate. More than 80 per cent of start-up business fail in their first two years because would be successful entrepreneurs with good ideas neglect to grasp tried and true principles for owning and operating a business.

Consumers thinking about starting a business of their own have been ‘duped’ for so long now, they are weary of the hap hazard get rich quick schemes blasted non-stop on infomercials and through email. They are seeking sound advice and real counsel and have come to realize that ‘getting rich quick’ schemes are just that, ‘schemes’ that enrich others and leave them at the bottom a little less prosperous than they were. Perhaps and little wiser too, but the financial damage is already done.

One of the reasons we have established this site as a Membership site is to prevent access by those who are experts at ‘dream building’ but offer no substance in the realities of the blood, sweat and tears growing a business can mean for an owner. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will your business be built in a day with little effort on your part.

Young people growing up today are woefully deprived of even a basic education in the mechanics of owning and operating a business. People with ‘great ideas’ perish every day because they either didn’t get sound advice, or they ignored it. Worse, many felt they didn’t need any advice and that is a sure sign to business oblivion.

Successfully owning and operating a business has many ‘failure factors’ challenging its existence upon launch, even with the most astute owners at the helm. Shooting starts with a dynamite product today soon finds the market has produced something ‘better’ or ‘cheaper’ or ‘easier to obtain’ and an impatient and demanding consumer today is going to find it via the internet or by bargain hunting.

Imagine what would have happened if Bill Gates didn’t learn a lot quickly? Apple had the market securely in its hand and then let it slip away by two kids in a garage with a new ‘idea’ and nerdy enough to seek the advice of professionals. Not keeping informed on market conditions is a dangerous risk in this highly competitive world of business we live in now.
